SMART Mission Toronto

Dear Family,

We are approaching the smart mission’s Sports event that is taking place on Saturday August 24, 2019. We’d love to see all the children participate in a friendly manner.

Please confirm the sport(s) your child(ren) is/are participating in with the servants from your church. Kindly remind your kids during the service this weekend that the event is taking place on August 24th and during the next 9 days, please use the excel sheet to call your kids in case they do not show up this weekend.

Unfortunately, last year some participants were not able to join their sports teams as they arrived after the sign-in deadline. This is a friendly reminder to please be on time and take into account any traffic on the day of the event. Sign-in will end 30 minutes before the scheduled time for that sport, so the youth can come according to the sports they are participating in. If there are any special circumstances that will not allow you to come on time, please contact the local servants that will be there during the event to let them know the day before.

Up to grade 5 (inclusive) will be at St. George and St. Rueiss
ADDRESS→ 141 Bond Ave, North York, ON M3B 1M1

Grade 6 to 8 will be at Logos Fellowship Centre
ADDRESS→ 33 Mallard Rd, North York, ON M3B 1S4

Participants will be notified of their teams on the day of the event. The schedule of the day for both locations goes as follows:

Volleyball 10:00am – 12:00pm
Relay 12:00pm – 12:30pm

Soccer 12:30pm – 2:30pm

Break/Relay 2:30pm – 3:00pm ( Relay only up to grade 2 at St. George and St. Rueiss )

Basketball 3:00pm – 5:00pm

Chess/Ping pong* 5:00pm – 6:00pm

* Chess and ping pong can be played throughout the schedule as long as the participants are free and are not on any teams playing at that time.

We would also like to invite the servants, children and families to participate in St. George and St. Rueiss’ annual St Mary’s festival which will be going on at the same time. All sports participants will receive free tickets to use for the festival activities along with a small snack during the day.

Please remind all the children that this is a Christian Sports event and we must all behave in a Christ-like manner. Any negative behaviour will be dealt with immediately and may result in disqualification from further games.
We also request that each church provides us with the name and contact number of the servant who will be attending with their participants.

We look forward to seeing you all on August 24. May the Lord bless you all and bless this service.

Thank you,
